Venus and Mercury close the next few mornings

The morning sky facing East about 6:10 am from Adelaide. Similar view will be seen in most of the Southern Hemisphere at the same local time.

Over the next few morning Venus and Mercury will be a mere 2 degrees (about 2 fingerwidths) appart in the morning sky. The best time to see these beauties is between 6:10 and 6:35, when the sky is reasonably dark (o5 5:30 and 6:00 if you live in Brisbane), but unfortunately the pair are close to the horizon. Venus can bee seen quite a bit later, but Mercury will fade from view rapidly after 6:30.
